Committee adopts District Attorney policy for certified therapy dogs in victim-witness interviews

The District Attorney's Office presented the proposal as a tool to provide comfort to particularly vulnerable or younger victims and witnesses during interviews at the municipal center. Committee members approved the policy by voice vote and recorded no opposition.
The policy applies to the District Attorney's Office use of county spaces; implementation details and handler certification requirements are in the policy packet and will be administered by the District Attorney's Office with Risk and Safety oversight.
