The committee approved resolution 4-24 authorizing the chair to execute a lease amendment with the Children's Home of Poughkeepsie to expand into an additional suite at 368 Broadway in Kingston. Commissioner McDonald said the agency already occupies a suite on the third floor and plans to expand community-based services and a children's clinic footprint. She announced the clinic had just received its operating certificate and would begin receiving referrals.
Legislator Kitchen asked whether the building is county- or city-owned; county staff clarified the building is county-owned and the mention of "City of Kingston" in the resolution title refers to the street address. Legislator Hewitt asked whether the space is move-in ready; Commissioner McDonald said the tenant has agreed to renovate the additional suite and has already renovated the clinic space that received its operating certificate.
The motion was moved by Legislator McCullough and seconded by Legislator Collins and approved by voice vote.
