During public comment, airport tenant David Snell told the council he believes Atlantic Aviation misrepresented facts about hangar demolitions and lease terminations at Addison Airport. Snell said he and other tenants were given inaccurate information, that his open-records request was delayed and that the handling of lease issues caused commercial and personal disruption.
He asked the council to convene a meeting among Atlantic representatives (including counsel), airport management and tenant representatives to discuss lease termination issues and to review actions taken by Atlantic staff. "Their attorney and their area director both have flat out lied regarding a number of things," Snell told the council, and he asked for a face-to-face meeting with city, Atlantic and tenant representatives to resolve outstanding issues.
Staff response and next steps: The speaker said he had raised the matter with city staff and had requested a meeting; he asked council members with aviation experience to join. Councilmembers did not take action during the meeting but acknowledged the complaint and the request for a meeting and said staff would follow up to determine an appropriate forum and participants.
