At the Sept. 3 meeting the committee approved a routine annual resolution (ID 13546) designating the county’s tourism promotion agency, which allows that agency to access Empire State Development’s I LOVE NY promotional funds. The resolution was moved, seconded by Legislator Deborah Dawson, and passed unanimously.
Peggy Coleman, president of the Tompkins Chamber, was present and thanked the committee; planning staff noted the designation is a standard annual housekeeping action required for state tourism funding processes.
No additional policy changes or funding allocations were taken at the meeting on this item.
