At the Aug. 13 meeting, the Law & Finance Committee approved several Sewer Commission items including change orders for ongoing wastewater projects, declared lead agency for the biosolids digester facility and set a public hearing on a proposed increase in the maximum estimated cost.
The committee declared its intent to act as lead agency for the Saratoga County Sewer District No. 1 biosolids digester facility under New York environmental review procedures. It approved change order No. 9 with Jerzin Construction Group LLC for $46,733 related to installation of a Combiflex joint sealing system in the north aeration tanks; change order No. 10 with Jurison Construction Group LLC for multiple items totaling $64,620; and an additional change order with Jurison Construction Group LLC for four items totaling $196,020. The three change orders total $307,373.
The committee set a public hearing for Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 4:35 p.m. on a proposed increase in the maximum estimated cost for the biosolids digester facility. The committee also authorized a contract award to Titan Roofing Inc. (low bidder) for roof restoration at a wastewater treatment plant building at a cost of $110,250.
Supervisors moved and seconded the law and finance agenda and carried the items; no extended floor discussion was recorded in the meeting transcript.
