County amends airport fuel‑tank lease clauses and leases terminal space to FBO
Summary
Saratoga County amended east/west fixed‑base operator (FBO) leases to address relocated fuel tanks and will lease new terminal space to North American Flight Services, with tenant occupancy to begin Sept. 1, 2025.
Saratoga County’s Law & Finance Committee on Aug. 13 amended airport leases and authorized a lease of new terminal space to North American Flight Services Inc., the county’s fixed‑base operator.
Due to a change in state law, county staff said the county must file a permit with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation as the owner of the property where fuel tanks are located. The resolution amends the East lease to remove references to the original fuel‑tank location and amends the West lease to include the relocated tanks and additional maintenance and care language.
The committee also authorized a lease agreement that will occupy a portion of the new terminal space and amend the 2025 county budget to increase fund balance by $1,439. The FBO lease will begin Sept. 1, 2025, and run concurrent with the east and west leases that expire April 30, 2028.
Supervisors moved and seconded the airport agenda items and the committee carried the measures; there was no recorded debate on the floor.
