Committee corrects intersection funding, authorizes engineering and intermunicipal agreements for local road and bridge projects
Summary

The Law & Finance Committee on Aug. 13 approved professional services and intermunicipal agreements tied to several county road and bridge projects and corrected a state Department of Transportation funding error.
The committee authorized Creighton Manning Engineering LLP for professional services on the County Route 4 over Sand Creek bridge replacement project, allocating $100,000 to cover project‑related professional costs.
Members also amended prior resolutions to correct the county’s share of a County Route 109 (Kins Road and Plank Road) intersection improvement project after a state Department of Transportation contract error. The county’s 10 percent share was corrected to $27,115; the overall contract funding for engineering services with CPL Architects, Engineers and Landscape Architect DPC was increased from $111,303 to $271,147.
The committee approved returning a transferred section of Longkill Road in the Town of Clifton Park from the town back to the county; the town will retain ownership and maintenance responsibility for pedestrian accommodations it previously added. An intermunicipal agreement with Warren County was authorized to allow use of property along County Route 1 for construction access during a bridge replacement project; the county will retain future access to improved areas for maintenance.
Finally, the committee approved cost sharing with Washington County for professional services related to the DICK’S Pedestrian Bridge inspection and work; Saratoga County’s share of a $29,000 professional services total is $14,500.
Supervisors moved and seconded the public works agenda and voted to carry the items as presented. There was no extended floor discussion recorded.
