Saratoga County supervisors on Sept. 10 authorized an agreement with RS Telecom Inc. for maintenance and repair of the county's public-safety microwave radio system and approved other routine public-safety items including an amended rate for the coroner's physician and proclamations for October awareness observances. County staff presented a two-year maintenance and repair agreement for the microwave portion of the county's public-safety radio system with first-year costs of $109,300 and a second-year option at $114,000. Staff noted an additional per-site cost of $6,500 per year for any tower sites added to the system. The committee also amended an agreement rate-setting for Forensic Medical Services PC (coroner's physician) for 2026 and proclaimed October 2025 as National Fire Prevention Week and as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Saratoga County; staff noted the District Attorney's Office, sheriff's office and Department of Social Services work with other agencies on domestic violence prevention and victim assistance. Discussion vs. decision: the microwave maintenance contract, rate amendment and proclamations were approved by the committee as formal actions. No lengthy debate or roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript.
