June Grubb’s resignation was presented “for the purpose of retirement.” The presenter explained EMIS (Education Management Information System) is the district data reporting system and that the position will be posted.
Board members approved multiple other superintendent recommendations in a single vote, including spring athletic supplemental contracts, a pay adjustment for a staff member who taught an extra bell through Jan. 30, several student camps (football fun camp, volleyball camp, wrestling camp), an overnight DECA trip to Columbus, renewal of the Colson Cowboys mentorship student club, and a course name change from “Integrated Composition” to “College Prep Integrated Composition.”
Dr. Gina Kirschner, present at the meeting, thanked the board and said she was “so humbled” to receive the appointment and expressed commitment to the district; that quote is attributed to Dr. Gina Kirschner.
The board also authorized membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association so students may continue participation in interscholastic sports, approved minutes from Jan. 27 and the Feb. 11 planning meeting, accepted the statement of revenues and expenditures through Jan. 31, accepted a list of donations and approved appropriation adjustments and purchases as listed in the board packet. A separate roll‑call vote approved an additional athletic supplemental contract for a middle‑school boys tennis coach.
