The superintendent presented a personnel slate at the April board meeting that included resignations, hires, contract renewals and a principal recommendation.
Search and recommendation: The superintendent said the district received 54 applicants for the primary‑school principal position, used staff and community focus groups and multiple interview rounds, and recommended Jen Earhart, currently at Indian Hill Primary School, to serve as Wyoming Primary School principal. The superintendent summarized community and staff feedback, noting qualities such as problem solving, MTSS experience, data orientation and an emphasis on belonging and instructional leadership.
Other personnel items: The superintendent also recommended Corinne Doyle as the high‑school principal’s administrative assistant, transition/onboarding days for the new principal, and multiple continuing and limited contracts. The board packet showed continuing‑contract recommendations for four teachers: Virginia Hatzick (primary music), Erin Henley (second grade), Ignacio Perez (middle‑school Spanish) and Amy Malloy (high‑school math). The superintendent also presented proposed summer camps (soccer, science and technology, Model UN training), several volunteer approvals, an overnight middle‑school field trip to a Model UN competition, routine school fee schedules and updated student/administrator/classified handbooks.
Board process and reaction: The superintendent described a focus on staff and community input during the search; Jen Earhart and family were introduced at the meeting. Trustees congratulated the recommended appointee and approved the superintendent’s personnel and handbook items during the business portion of the agenda.
Ending: The board approved the motions on a roll call vote during the business session (see votes at a glance). The superintendent said transition activities and onboarding for the new principal will follow district procedures.
