Committee members asked how long the inmates would remain in Putnam custody; county staff said the population fluctuates and that Dutchess would pull inmates back if it freed cells. The county noted that daily pricing and ease of transportation both factor into which jail receives transfers, and that some counties prefer jurisdictions that can accept larger groups delivered by bus.
The county presented the boarding revenue item for oversight; no action was required.
