Resident urges code enforcement action over storage and vehicles at 15 Palmwood Court

A Jacksonville Beach resident told the council he has repeatedly complained about an adjacent property that he says is being used as an outdoor storage yard and that he has received no response from code enforcement. Tom Farmer, who said he lives at 72 Tallwood Road, described the front yard of 15 Palmwood Court as covered in gravel and cluttered with a boat, two catamarans, three utility trailers, a golf cart, an old SUV and an all-terrain vehicle under a tent. Farmer said the condition has persisted for over five years and that he contacted the property owner by letter without a reply. Farmer said he filed a complaint with code enforcement that required his name, phone number and email but that he received no acknowledgement. He asked council for next steps and said he was considering erecting a fence to block the view but was concerned that permitting and site-plan requirements would cost him money. Mayor directed staff to pass Farmer’s comments to city staff for follow-up. No formal council action was taken during the public-comment period; council members and staff said they would forward the complaint to the appropriate department for investigation and to contact the resident about next steps.
