Director Soupy told trustees Aug. 27 that the township’s dog park will open Saturday, Sept. 6 at 10 a.m.; staff asked residents to bring pets and note the park will have some giveaway items and shade structures arriving soon. The director said shade structures and seat-cover shades were ordered and that some finishing work — including a grant application and bids for walk-path access — remains before the site is fully complete.
Soupy also reported the township received pickleball net dividers and is scheduling installation, and that the department has ordered shade coverings for seating. The dog‑park opening will proceed even though some walkway work will continue; staff said they are pursuing a grant for walk-path construction and will seek bids once grant planning advances.
Marketing and events staff outlined Delhi’s remaining summer‑concert schedule and upcoming events: Forever Diamond on Sept. 3 and Cincinnati Transit Authority on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m., a slate of weekend bands through September, an art exhibit through Sept. 30, the Touch‑a‑Truck event on Sept. 20 and a Walt Sweeney Ford 5K on Oct. 4. The Parks Department asked residents to refrain from bringing coolers to concerts and reminded attendees that food and drinks are available for purchase.
Trustees encouraged attendance at the lawn‑bar concerts and the dog‑park opening and thanked staff for event coordination. No formal board action was required for the announcements.
