Delhi Township trustees on Sept. 10 adopted a resolution to share rental costs with Hamilton County and the Oak Hills Local School District for a rubber‑tire loader used at the Delhi salt storage dome.
Director Rippinger said the collaboration with the Hamilton County Engineers and Oak Hills “has helped save residents a lot of money” by sharing equipment rather than each jurisdiction owning duplicate machinery. He noted the partnership has operated for “over a decade” and helps spread capital and operating costs.
The board dispensed with a second reading and adopted the resolution (2025‑171) at the meeting. Trustees asked about dome readiness for salt; Rippinger said the dome is “close” to being ready and reminded residents the shared arrangement helps with winter operations.
The resolution authorizes the director of public works to execute the agreement and rent the equipment; the transcript does not record a detailed rental price or the prorated cost shares. Implementation, scheduling, and cost allocation are to be coordinated by the public works director and county engineers under the approved agreement.
