Commission approves $150,000 EMS memorandum of agreement with Village of Questa

The Taos County Commission on Sept. 2 approved a memorandum of agreement with the Village of Questa to fund emergency medical services coverage in the northern part of the county at $150,000, a funding level county fire staff said matched the prior year.
County Fire Chief Michael Cordova (presenting) described the agreement as the same as last year's arrangement and said it covers EMS coverage for the northern portion of Taos County. Commissioners asked whether the amount was identical to the prior year and staff confirmed it was.
A motion to approve the MOA passed by unanimous roll call. The action authorizes the county to enter the supplemental agreement; the transcript does not show changes to service levels or a renegotiation of the amount. Staff did not report a change in operational terms during the meeting.
