The county presented three separate grant agreements: a Local Government Road Fund award of $146,717, a second local government road fund award of $184,575 (resolution 2025-44), and a third road-fund grant of about $109,000–$188,000 (the transcript shows a figure described as $109,000 and later as $188,000 for the third grant). Staff clarified that the three grants apply to the same project and are common when a route serves multiple purposes (county road, school-bus route, etc.).
Commissioners asked about timing and were told the work is hoped to occur in spring or summer of the following year. Commissioners moved and seconded the three resolutions and approved them by roll call.
County staff indicated a corresponding budget adjustment was made on the consent agenda to reflect the grants. The county manager later confirmed budget approvals and said the county had processed associated budget adjustments so the project can move forward.
No construction contract award or contractor selection occurred at the Sept. 2 meeting; the actions were the commission's authorization to accept state funding and execute the grant agreements.
