Fiscal court approves $6,000 contract to repair coroner’s office floor

The Ohio County Fiscal Court approved a contract to repair the coroner’s office floor and authorized payment of $6,000 on Thursday. County officials said the county received a contract rather than an invoice for the work, so the court needed to approve the contract before the funds were disbursed.
A court member explained, “we're gonna pay, 6,000 for the, floor at the coroner's office.” The court moved and seconded approval of the contract; the chair signed the contract during the meeting and the item will be included on next month’s bills and claims for payment.
