Committee members said most grant applications and developers ask for an up‑to‑date housing demand study showing existing housing stock, gaps by income level and projected needs; the Blueprint Kentucky proposal would provide that analysis.
The study firm told the committee the work could be completed in about 30 days and that results are expected to remain useful for roughly five years, officials said. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the county contribution by roll call. The court instructed staff to process the county’s payment and to coordinate with Beaver Dam on the study timeline.
Commissioners discussed whether other cities should contribute; Hartford had not committed at the start of the conversation but was later noted as likely to chip in $4,000, which reduced the county share to $4,000. The court recorded the motion and completed a roll call; the funding commitment was approved at the meeting.
