Marcellus Snipes and Jane Haley described three vendors under cooperative agreements: SSF Pack (cleaning products and equipment), First Colony Pizza (a cooperative that supplies Domino’s‑branded school pizzas) and Coca‑Cola Bottling Company (beverages). Haley explained that the pizza provided through the cooperative meets USDA requirements (at least 51% whole grain) and that the pizza served to students is not the same as retail Domino’s pizza; the school menu uses whole‑grain crust options and lower‑sodium toppings.
Haley said schools serve Domino’s pizza on specific schedules: elementary schools on Thursdays, middle schools on Mondays and Fridays (with past variations), and Warhill High School daily. Coca‑Cola products provided include zero‑sugar diet options, Minute Maid juices, Dasani and Smartwater, and reduced‑calorie sports beverages. SSF Pack provides premeasured cleaning products and equipment used in kitchens.
Decision status: administration recommended the board review the cooperative agreements and be prepared to vote at the Aug. 19, 2025 meeting; no approval was recorded at this session.
