City staff gave a construction update for Worcester Road West during the Street, Sidewalk and Lighting committee on Sept. 2, saying utility adjustments are ongoing and the water main work is complete, with crews preparing for final paving.
Public works staff said contractors are raising valve boxes and other utility access points in advance of the final pavement layer. —That's because they're bringing those all up to grade, getting them ready for the final layer of pavement. The water line has been completed. All of the tie ins have been done on that road,— the staff member told the committee.
A nearby resident, Megan Eberhardt of Mesa Verde Drive, asked whether resurfacing would soon begin on the adjacent section stretching from Hudson to Cleveland and noted she had not seen grinding or milling operations yet. Staff said they had requested an updated schedule from the general foreman and would circulate it to council when received.
No formal action was taken; staff committed to circulate the contractor's updated schedule and continue coordination with council.
