Coordinating Committee adds study of 30th and Liberty intersection to project list

Courtney (Staff member) told the coordinating committee the MPO is asking for a vote to add preliminary engineering and a study of the 30th Street and Liberty Street intersection to the MPO project list. Courtney described the item as a study of that intersection and said some Highway Safety or similar funding would be applied to the current project phase; the committee discussed adding a related 38th Street delivery project link in the agenda.
A motion to add the project was made and seconded; Matt (Committee member) moved the item and Mark (Committee member) seconded. The committee voted in favor; the chair called for “All in favor? Aye. Opposed? Alright,” and the motion carried.
Courtney said staff will circulate the project map links in the agenda packet so members can see project limits and encouraged members to send questions by email. No construction schedule or total project cost was specified during the discussion; Courtney described the item as a study and PE addition at this meeting and said construction funding would be considered later in the programming process.
Committee members asked that staff add the related 38th Street delivery project link to the packet and confirmed they would receive follow-up materials and maps from staff.
