Saint Charles Parish parks and rec releases fall schedule; basketball registration centralized and deadline set

Jewell said the parish took over sign-ups from individual booster clubs to “give some more consistency in this front end experience,” and that parents and coaches can view schedules at the parks and recreation website: www.scpparksandrec.com. She said once families create a profile, children’s information will carry forward year to year to simplify future registrations.
Jewell also promoted a series of upcoming community events: the King Cat Fishing Tournament at the Bonnet Carré Spillway on Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and National Public Lands Day on Sept. 27, a volunteer workday at the Bonnet Carré Spillway starting at 8 a.m. that will be hosted by Parks and Recreation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District and sponsored by Coastal Roots.
