Board approves MSL consulting agreement to support principals with implementation science coaching

The Prosser School District Board approved a consulting agreement on Aug. 13 to bring MSL consultant Chris Clem (referred to as Chris in the meeting) back to work with multiple building principals on school-improvement efforts. District leaders said Clem had previously provided pro bono support to three principals using OSSI grant funds and that her coaching produced measurable improvement. With OSSI discontinued, principals asked the district to retain her services; the district will use Title II and TPEP grant funds to pay for the consulting agreement. Administrators said the consultant will work on-site with principals throughout the school year, focusing on implementation science and data-driven improvement strategies. The administration described the contract as “generous” relative to market rates and noted there would be no substitute costs or travel expenses. The board approved the contract by voice vote.
