Board tables Seattle University affiliation agreement after insurance and term questions

The presenter said Seattle University often requests agreements covering the period a student will be placed, and the district has relatively few interns from Seattle U.
Another director raised concerns about insurance language in the contract and whether the university or the district must carry the required $1 million liability insurance. The presenter said districts typically carry that coverage and that universities often carry insurance as well, and offered to seek clarification from Seattle University.
A board member moved to table the agreement to the Sept. 24 meeting; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
