The Scottsburg Board of Public Works and Safety on Aug. 27 approved personnel and administrative items: hiring Josh Reardon for a wastewater maintenance labor position with a start date of Sept. 2, and authorizing standard stipends (cell-phone stipend for September and a prorated clothing stipend for the remainder of 2025).
Separately, the board approved issuing a city credit card with a $3,000 limit for the new MS4 coordinator position and named Meredith Woods as the cardholder. Staff said the MS4 coordinator position is a new department head role and the $3,000 limit is the city’s standard for comparable cards.
Both actions were approved by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
