LaGrange Park awards multiple water and sewer contracts totaling several hundred thousand dollars

The Village of LaGrange Park Board of Trustees approved a package of water and sanitary sewer construction and maintenance contracts during its meeting, awarding low bids for projects planned in fiscal year 2025–26.
Public works staff and the village engineer presented bids and recommended awards after advertised openings. Key awards included: - Kings Court and Castle Circle water main improvement project: Girardi Water and Sewer Company was awarded the contract at $1,000,008.06. The project includes water main replacement and related lead service line replacement work and is scheduled to begin after permitting and contract execution. - 2025–26 sewer cleaning and televising program: Business Sewer of Illinois LLC was the low bidder at $55,008.96 to clean and televise designated sewer pipes as part of the village’s maintenance obligations to the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD). - 2025–26 sewer lining project: Hoare Construction Inc was awarded the sewer lining contract at $97,825 to rehabilitate portions of the combined and storm sewer collection system using inversion lining and related apparatus. - 2025–26 sewer point repair project: Suburban General Construction Inc was awarded the contract at $145,977.95 to complete 15 identified point repairs to sewer mains located from inspections.
Staff noted engineers’ estimates and the village’s budget allocations for each project; all recommended awards came in under or near engineer estimates and within the board‑approved fiscal year budgets for water and sewer funds. Trustees emphasized the preventive maintenance importance of the televising program and the cost benefits of lining repairs versus full pipe replacement.
The board approved motions to accept the low bids and authorized execution of the construction contracts and expenditures from the appropriate water and sewer funds by unanimous roll calls. Contracts will proceed subject to standard preconstruction steps, insurance and bonding and scheduling with the village engineer and public works staff.
