Scottsburg’s Board of Works of Public Safety voted to approve Pay Act No. 1 for the CITVU ID project, a contract the board discussed as totaling $2,966,000, and noted the payment will come from American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds.
The action came during the board’s Aug. meeting when staff presented the pay application and a council member moved to approve it. The motion was seconded and the members present responded “aye.”
Board members and staff stressed the contract total of $2,966,000 during discussion. Staff also mentioned a $296,100 figure in the same exchange; the transcript did not resolve whether that amount represented the pay-app amount, a retainage hold, or another line in the contract.
Mary Grace, who presented project details to the board, confirmed the line items tied to linear feet and other measurements remained open pending final field measurements. A council member asked whether the figure was the final payment; Mary Grace indicated line quantities were still being settled.
The board did not attach additional conditions to the approval during the meeting. The board’s action was recorded as a motion, a second and unanimous assent.
Looking ahead, staff indicated remaining quantity determinations would be finalized as the project progresses, and any subsequent pay activities would return to the board for approval if required.
