Council approves lot consolidation at 2367 Edgerton Road for Turnbull, Vogel

The University Heights City Council voted to approve the planning commission's recommendation to consolidate three parcels at 2367 Edgerton Road, a change applicants said will let them build an annex and simplify ownership. "We're just planning to move to, University Heights and part of the reason we bought the house was so that we could develop a age in place multi generational home," resident George Turnbull told council before the vote. He added that consolidation would ease tax management and title transfer difficulties they encountered when buying the property. The motion to approve the planning commission recommendation was moved from the vice mayor and seconded by Ms. Weiser; the clerk called the roll and the council recorded affirmative votes and approved the consolidation. The planning commission had previously considered and passed the recommendation. The approval means the three parcels will be combined into a single lot for tax, title and development purposes; applicants said the consolidated lot will allow construction of an annex to support an age-in-place, multigenerational home. There was no public opposition recorded at the meeting.
