The board later approved change order number 3 with Bloomsdale Excavating on Liberty Elementary Phase 1, a deductive change of $644,250 that district staff said reduced that contract sum to $11,312,136.09.
Harrison described the construction timeline: retaining walls were expected to be complete by February 2026; phase 1 excavating and site prep are nearing final grade; and the building contractor began digging footings at the time of the meeting.
