District shows progress on 2022 bond projects, previews 2024 bond planning

Updates included restroom upgrades and ADA improvements at Princeton Middle High School, a major renovation and classroom additions at Cooper Academy (including a 20-classroom connector and new offices), the opening of a new elementary campus intended to reduce the need for portable classrooms, and extensive ongoing construction at Wilson’s Mills High School where the third story and interior systems were shown in recent drone photos.
Officials said some schools will receive 2024 bond-funded upgrades in coming years, such as fire-alarm system replacements at select campuses. The presentation emphasized that the projects are intended to modernize facilities and accommodate district growth; staff noted the district serves over 37,000 students and employs more than 5,000 staff.
