Howard County commissioners approved a contract Sept. 2 with Butler, Fairman & Seifert to provide solar compliance monitoring services. Project manager Pam Isaac told the board that the firm will work with county staff and with NG (as noted in the contract text) to carry out monitoring and that the work relates to road-use and drainage agreements.
Isaac said the county had worked closely on the contract language and that Allen, Greg and Amber had reviewed and agreed to the contract. She also said payment for the work will be made through Emerald Green or ENGIE. A commissioner moved and seconded approval; commissioners voted "aye" and Isaac requested permission to sign the contract.
The transcript indicates the county solicited bids for the work previously. The meeting record does not include the contract dollar amount, the full scope of services, or the identity of "NG." Staff indicated legal and departmental review had been completed and authorized signature.
County staff will finalize signature and contract administration per standard procedures.
