Lisa Crittendon, president of the Anne Arundel County Council PTAs, presented the PTA report and notified the board of key dates and programs for the 2025–26 school year.
Crittendon said the council’s first meeting of the year will be Monday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. and will be held virtually; topics will include compliance, membership and training dates. She also offered three upcoming financial-review sessions and encouraged local PTAs to attend training and to send representatives. The council is promoting the National PTA Reflections arts program for students in pre-K through grade 12 and set a local submission deadline of Dec. 12; the program’s national webpage was given as pta.org/reflections and an email contact (reflections@aaccpta.org) was provided for local PTA chairs.
Crittendon closed by asking schools and board members to contact the council via aaccpta.givebacks.com or info@aaccpta.org for support and reiterated the goal that “we want our children to succeed, and for this to happen, we need to work together.”
