Judge Elkins asked to move $12,000 from part-time clerical to overtime in Superior Court 1 to bring court staff into compliance with county 40-hour policies after accumulation of overtime; Elkins said the move would address accumulated leave and documented hours. The maintenance department’s request — a $70,000 transfer from a maintenance-tech line to labor-maintenance following internal reorganization — was not explained in detail at the meeting and the council tabled that transfer until the maintenance director can appear.
Councilman Brian Alexander moved to table the maintenance transfer; Councilman Roberts seconded that motion. Councilman Roberts later moved to approve the remainder of the transfers as presented, excluding the tabled maintenance request; that motion passed by voice vote.
