Board continues five docket items to August after lead counsel’s request

The General Gas Roll Board on July 15 voted to continue five docket items to the board’s August hearing after lead counsel for multiple applicants requested more time. Counsel for the applicants said lead counsel Ben Street is on vacation and requested that the listed applications be carried to the next hearing.
Counsel representing opposing parties — including Tom Pruett for Buchanan Energy Company and Mark Schwartz for other respondents — said they would not object to the continuance at the hearing but reserved the right to file objections in the coming days. The chair asked parties to file any objections at least a week to 10 days before the August hearing to give the board and applicants time to review them.
The board called and approved the motion to continue the five docket items; the roll call recorded affirmative votes from the members responding. The board did not resolve any pending timing or certification disputes at the July meeting; counsel indicated some issues (timeliness of filings and surveyor certifications) may be moot or were being supplemented in the filings, but parties were permitted to file further objections or clarifications before the next hearing.
The board will re-list the five dockets at its August meeting and will accept any new objections filed within the timeframe directed by the chair.
