"I stand before you tonight with immense excitement to introduce 2 dynamic and forward thinking additions to our Gainesville athletic department, girls' flag football and esports, both slated to launch in the 2025," Coach Lindsey told the board. He said the programs are intended to expand athletic opportunities, build teamwork and leadership skills, and provide options for students who do not participate in traditional athletics.
