The council approved an amendment to the consulting contract for the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) on Aug. 18, 2025, authorizing not‑to‑exceed compensation of $7,500 for a workshop and final revisions. City Attorney Delwell and staff said the amendment covers hourly work up to the cap and will incorporate edits before returning a revised draft to the planning commission and council.
Staff noted the contract’s client representative needed to be updated; the transcript records the city asking that Joy be named as the client representative instead of the named contact currently in the document. Council members asked to forward suggested changes to staff ahead of the consultant’s visit so the revisions could be incorporated efficiently at the workshop. The council approved the amendment by voice vote: "All in favor? Aye. Opposed? Motion carries."
