The International Falls City Council on Sept. 2 approved a temporary on-sale liquor license for Saint Thomas Aquinas Church to host a school banquet on Oct. 11 and exempt permits for raffles at the same event and a Friends of the Falls Fire Department fundraiser.
Councilor Kaler moved to adopt the resolution approving the temporary liquor license for the Saint Thomas Aquinas Church’s fundraiser scheduled for Oct. 11; Councilor Buller seconded. The council voted unanimously, 5-0, to approve the license.
The council also approved a Saint Thomas Aquinas School exempt permit to sell raffle tickets with a drawing on Oct. 11 and a Friends of the Falls Fire Department exempt permit for a raffle drawing on Nov. 24 at the Elks Lodge, 215 Third Street. Both raffle permit motions passed unanimously after motion and second.
These approvals authorize the organizations to hold the stated events under city permitting; no conditions or objections were recorded on the meeting record.
