Staff also described work to integrate a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) tool and said training plans are under development.
Communications staff highlighted the district’s recent “back‑to‑school bash,” reporting more than 800 attendees and positive vendor feedback, and noted outreach partnerships including a documentary partnership and awards for district music educators. Staff also described a family technology resource page and other cross‑team projects to make resources easier for families to find.
On artificial intelligence, board members discussed a district demonstration of Gemini‑style tools and vendor integrations (a referenced tool called “Brisk” was mentioned as available to district users). Board members noted possible classroom and staff productivity applications and asked for further discussion in upcoming committee meetings.
The board also reviewed a new public dashboard for tracking adopted board goals. Staff said an initial version is live and that a mobile‑friendly second version is in development. Board members debated whether certain personnel‑related goals should be public or remain internal and asked staff to include internal links or an intranet copy so that all goals are reachable even if not shown on the public dashboard. Staff said the dashboard can be updated by copy‑paste and suggested periodic refresh intervals (monthly, quarterly or semiannually) be decided by the board. Members asked staff to present the dashboard for board feedback later that week and to launch a mobile friendly version by the next meeting.
Board members praised the communications and tech teams for their work on the events, site content and device planning, and directed staff to continue refining the dashboard and to provide options for how internal personnel goals are displayed and accessed.
