The board chair opened the meeting by saying, “Our goal is to bring tourists to town.” Applicants then gave brief, focused pitches and answered questions from board members. No formal awards were made during the meeting; the board said it will announce allocations at a follow-up meeting next Monday at 6:30 p.m.
