Auditorium project remains on schedule; policy committee meeting set for Oct. 1

Board leaders heard a status update that the district auditorium capital project remains on schedule and were notified the policy committee will meet Oct. 1. The report came during the board’s regular public session and included timing for work and a brief operations update.

During the standing-committee reports, the Capital Projects representative said the auditorium ‘‘is on schedule, for our auditorium. It looks like, before the winter hits us, we will have the outside taken care of. So during the winter months, we'll be pretty much working inside.’’ That representative’s remarks were presented as an informational update; no formal vote or new funding was recorded in the meeting minutes.

Board members did not propose or adopt changes to the project timeline during the meeting. The president noted the policy committee’s first meeting is scheduled for Oct. 1 and moved the agenda along to other items.
