Allison, a first-grade teacher at Cambridge Elementary, said staff will use the new interactive board for student work and described it as "super cool" and "very interactive." Allison added, "We're gonna be able to have our babies come up to the board and actually be able to write and, solve problems and, super excited about that." She also noted new window lighting and dimmable lights: "It's gonna be great for when we do some cozy reading. We dim the lights."
The classroom refresh was described as a community initiative. Allison credited central office staff member Natalie Brown for helping "all weekend cleaning all of our rooms," and said PTO president Kendra Carter organized student volunteers from groups identified as YMSL and MCL and pupils from the high school and junior school to assist. Allison called the turnout "amazing" and said the effort left staff "overwhelmed with gratitude."
