Main Street readies for Rock the Root booth, guitar raffle and Cruisin' for a Cause on Sept. 18

Haley Doggett, promotions volunteer for Yukon Route 66 Main Street, urged businesses to meet sponsorship deadlines so t‑shirts can be ordered and said organizers were close to their fundraising goal for Cruisin' for a Cause on Thursday evening, Sept. 18.
“Our sponsorship deadline is tomorrow so that we can order t shirts, make sure all of our awesome sponsors get on those,” Doggett said.
Stephen Kerr, who manages the organization point, said the Main Street booth will be at Rock the Root the following evening and described volunteer shifts and the group’s raffle fundraiser. "We will be down there from about 5 to 08:30 ..." Kerr said, and asked volunteers to sign up via a Cognito form. The booth will auction a guitar signed by performing bands and, if volunteer capacity allows, will also promote Cruisin' for a Cause and hand out promotional items.
Promotions committee updates also covered the Czech marketplace and a Czech Christmas market (Dec. 6) and Christmas on Main planned for Dec. 11. Doggett said registration for car entries and a new "best in show" prize are priorities ahead of the Sept. 18 event.
No formal board action was taken; these were reports and volunteer requests to support upcoming promotional events.
