The addendum also included a supplemental memorandum of agreement dated 08/29/2025 between the district and the South Orangetown Administrators and Supervisors Association (SOASA) that updates a recognition clause.
The board—s action package authorized temporary compensation for Ms. Lori Graham, supervisor of special education. The resolution states she will be compensated to oversee responsibilities associated with the new director role from on or about 09/01/2025 to on or about 11/01/2025 at a daily stipend rate of $152.80; the board approved the supplemental memorandum of agreement to effect that stipend.
Board member Diana asked that the board receive a presentation at the next meeting showing how units currently under the PPS umbrella will be reassigned; the superintendent and staff agreed to present that information in a future board report. Diana said she would approve the addendum but requested the follow-up presentation.
The amended consent agenda containing the superintendent—s addendum was moved by Diana and seconded by Katie and approved by voice vote.
Looking ahead: The board requested a staff presentation at an upcoming meeting detailing where remaining PPS units will be placed under the new structure.
