You can only use the grant towards the structure cost,” a county staff member said during the presentation. The staff member said the most recent site-work bid was nearly $260,000 above the amount that had been budgeted for that element of the project and that the structure estimate from two years ago was about $652,000, leaving a notable gap when combined with the site-work overrun.
