Board approves Still Florida Properties comp plan change and rezoning in District 1

On Sept. 4 the Brevard County Board approved companion applications for Still Florida Properties LLC in District 1, adopting a change in future land use from NC and RES-2 to CC and approving a zoning reclassification from AU to BU-1.
Commissioner Delaney disclosed that she met with the applicant, Kelly DelMonico, and the applicant's client on May 28 and noted the disclosure for the record before voting. The board then voted on the comp plan amendment; Delaney moved to approve and Commissioner Atkinson seconded. The clerk's roll call recorded yes votes from Commissioner Delaney, Commissioner Atkinson, Commissioner Altman and Chairman Feltner; the motion passed 4-0.
The zoning change (AU to BU-1) was moved by Commissioner Delaney, seconded by Commissioner Atkinson, and passed on a 4-0 roll-call vote. Planning staff read both companion applications into the record and the board took separate votes for plan and zoning changes as required.
