The presentation highlighted the agency’s all‑hazards response (fire suppression, rescue extrication, high-angle and water rescue), its ISO Class 1 rating, use of aeromedical helicopters (Trauma Hawk) staffed by paramedics and nurses, field whole-blood transfusion capability, hazardous-materials and bomb‑squad coordination, the 911 dispatch center and community programs including injury prevention, drowning-prevention efforts and mobile integrated health/community paramedic follow-up.
Council members and residents praised the department’s capabilities and training programs and thanked staff for the local service. Chief Martinez noted recent operational updates related to bridge opening and coverage areas.
