HENDERSON COUNTY — Henderson County commissioners unanimously approved property tax collection contracts for 25 local entities and authorized the county tax assessor-collector and county judge to sign the agreements. The list presented by the tax assessor-collector included multiple independent school districts (Athens ISD, Brownsboro ISD, Crossroads ISD, Eustis ISD, Frankston ISD, LaCorner ISD, Malacoff ISD, Murchison ISD, Trinidad ISD), cities (Athens, Brownsboro, Caney City, Chandler, Enchanted Oaks, Eustace, Frankston, Log Cabin, Malakoff, Payne Springs, 7 Points, Star Harbor, Tool, Trinidad), Athens Municipal Water Authority, Henderson County Living District Community College and several emergency service districts (numbers 1–8, 10–12 as listed). Tax assessor-collector staff said these contracts are presented annually to authorize the county to collect levies on behalf of these jurisdictions. The motion authorized necessary signatures to finalize the contracts and any clerical adjustments when returned by the entities. The court approved the motion with no additional discussion and recorded a unanimous vote.
