City to negotiate MOU with county sheriff for public‑safety cameras, proposes separate ALPR rollout

The ALPR proposal will specify locations and intended uses; staff described ALPRs as a tool to identify vehicles on hot lists and generate alerts for law enforcement. The city will seek council approval of uses and locations before implementing ALPRs.
