County staff told the Executive Finance Committee on Aug. 25 that the Pine Valley water reservoir requires minor concrete repairs after recent inspection.
According to the report staff distributed today, the issue is exposed concrete that staff called "sensible and exposed" in the packet; staff said the estimated repair cost is about $4,700. The contractor will submit the repair plan to the Department of Natural Resources for approval, and scheduling will follow once DNR signs off, a staff member said.
Committee members asked about schedule and responsibility for the application; staff replied the contractor would submit the DNR application and handle scheduling and most of the work. No major structural deficiencies were reported; staff characterized the reservoir as "in working condition" apart from the localized concrete repairs.
There was no formal action; staff said they would provide updates once the DNR review and scheduling are complete.
