Downtown Development Board adopts $1,229,781 operating budget for 2025–26

The Clearwater Downtown Development Board unanimously adopted its fiscal year 2025–26 operating budget at $1,229,781 and approved Resolution 25-03, which declares the final budget for the year beginning Oct. 1, 2025. Jesus Munoz, CRA executive director, told the board there was an incorrect number printed in the body of the draft resolution and that the budget attachments in members' packets contained the correct figures. During discussion, a staff reader told members, "if the board is comfortable with the proposed budget in the amount of $1,229,781, which is what is in this attachment, then I would suggest that a motion be made to that effect, and specify the dollar amount so that the minutes are clear and the record is clear as to the dollar amount." A board member moved to approve the agenda item specifying the $1,229,781 amount; the motion was seconded and passed with unanimous aye votes. No members of the public spoke on the budget. The board approved the budget amount as presented in the attachments; staff noted and corrected the mismatched number in the resolution text before the motion to ensure the minutes reflected the correct total.
